Hawaiian Village Lake Association [HVLA] is an 80 acre sand bottom lake community of about 200 homes located five miles south of Papillion, Nebraska. The location provides easy access to Omaha, Bellevue, and Lincoln. It's a little bit country, but only 10 minutes from city life.
In addition to the lake and beach, there are tennis courts, a Platte River view walking trail and many social events to join (bunco, mahjong, book clubs, etc.). The HVLA social committee organizes events throughout the year, including the Independence Day celebration and fireworks (held on July 3rd) and an annual luau on the beach (August).
Life is great here with swimming, fishing, boating, water sports, kayaking, skiing, along with winter fun such as ice skating, ice fishing, hockey, snowmobiling, and cross country skiing.
